Committee for Opportunity and Engagement in Psychology (COEP)
COEP has been charged by the Chair of the WSU Department of Psychology with strengthening the Department’s commitment to fostering a supportive and welcoming community. Specifically, the Committee has been asked to support the Department by:
- Developing and implementing recruitment and retention plans to attract, hire, and support candidates from a wide range of backgrounds for faculty and staff positions.
- Creating and implementing admission, recruitment, and retention strategies to broaden access and support students from all backgrounds and circumstances.
- Partnering with other organizations to develop new initiatives, or to enhance existing initiatives, that promote opportunity, engagement, and access across the Department.
- Ensuring department programs, activities, and employment comply with WSU’s Policy Prohibiting Discrimination and Harassment.
