Medical and Parental Leave
Medical and parental leave can be requested. Students who have a medical issue that is interfering with their academic performance or assistantship, and students who are soon to be parents are encouraged to go on medical leave. If a student has a medical issue or is soon to be a parent, they should inform the DET and their major professor.
